Product Detail

This is a meticulously remastered box set released by Revenant in 2001 (No. 212). It includes all of Charley Patton's recording sessions, along with extra tracks and interviews related to those in Charley's circle. Packaged in a luxurious 11' x 13' x 3.5' cloth - bound hardcover '78 Album' with a slipcase, it's a real collector's item. The set also comes with a reprint of John Fahey's 1970 book about Charley Patton, and 128 pages of fresh writing on the legend. Inside the slipcase, you'll find full - size reproductions of 1929 Paramount ads and a complete set of Paramount / Vocalion record label stickers. All the tracks have been fully remastered and pitch - corrected from the best available sources, giving you the ultimate versions of this amazing blues material.

To use this product, simply open the slipcase and take out the cloth - bound hardcover '78 Album'. You can play the tracks on a suitable record player. When handling the record, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or fingerprints on it. Store the set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent damage to the album and the stickers. Don't bend or mishandle the record as it may affect the sound quality. If you want to keep the box set in good condition for a long time, consider using a dust cover for the album and keeping the slipcase closed when not in use.
